Practice Policies

In order to provide the highest level of attention and care to our patients, we adhere to the following policies:

- Appointment Policy: please provide 24 hours notice for any changes or cancellations to your scheduled appointment.

- COVID-19 Policy: due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Zap and her assistants adhere to rigorous safety and sanitation protocols for each pet. Please help us in this effort by also wearing an appropriately fitting mask/face covering/shield during in-person appointments and limit attendance to 1-2 adults. If anyone in the household is showing signs of and/or has recently tested positive for COVID-19, please advise us ASAP and we will reschedule or change to a telemedicine consult if needed.

- Online Pharmacy Policy: If Dr. Zap prescribes a medication or supplement to your pet as part of a treatment protocol, you have the option to purchase the medication directly from Integrative Veterinary Care. If we do not have the drug on hand at the time of your appointment, direct shipping from our professional pharmacy is available (with free shipping/handling). Upon request, we will provide a written prescription for your pet's medication which you can fill at the pharmacy of your choice (we highly recommend and use Bissell Pharmacy in Ridgefield, CT, English Apothecary in Bethel, CT, and Cross River Pharmacy in Cross River, NY). Due to the increasing number of fraudulent online pharmacies, we will not fax prescriptions and/or refill requests from online pharmacies.
