Animals come in all shapes and sizes - and so does their medical care!

Integrative Veterinary Care offers unique, at-home care for animals of all shapes and sizes - mammals of all sizes, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and even honeybees!

Dr. Zap completed zoo, wildlife and exotic pet medical and surgical training during her veterinary education, including externships at the Audubon Nature Institute in New Orleans, LA, the Georgia Sea Turtle Center on Jekyll Island, GA, and Fondo TUERI in Quito, Ecuador. She has worked with exotic and wildlife species for many years, and was the Veterinarian for the Trevor Zoo in Millbrook, NY from 2016 to 2020.

For nearly ten years, Dr. Zap has worked with endangered Galápagos giant tortoises, both in the Galápagos Islands, as well as in zoos and private collections around the world. She has lectured on tortoise health and welfare throughout the United States, South America and Europe, and is part of a group of veterinarians and biologists dedicated to the conservation and well being of these gentle giants.

House-call and farm call visits allow us to see all of your animals stress-free in their home environment, and asses all aspects of their health and well-being - including husbandry, herd management, nutrition and enrichment. Dr. Zap is available for exotic pet examinations, zoo/aquarium collection visits, and wildlife rehabilitation assistance. She is a USDA Category 2 Accredited Veterinarian, and can assist with interstate and international health certificates of all species, as well as regulatory monitoring programs, inspections and health plans.
